Scuffed bumper corners, kerbed skirts, cracked plastic. Repaired and painted rather than replaced wherever the plastic allows, which is most of the time.

- We check whether the plastic is scuffed, split or pushed off its clips, because each is a different job.
- Scuffs are sanded out and repainted on the corner, and the colour is faded along the bumper so there is no line.
- Splits are welded from behind and rebuilt so you cannot find the crack.
- Only when the bumper is past saving do we fit a new one, and we say so before we do.
Sometimes the mark is not deep at all, but you keep seeing it every time you walk up to the car. A kerbed corner is about the most common job we see, and one of the smallest on the pad.
- Two or three photos of the damage, taken in daylight if you can.
